I actually find it amusing that my birthday is just the day after Gauss'. Well, at least I have an excuse for celebrating a couple of days in a row rather than just one on its own. But other than that, I've implemented the "Interactive" Banner system, which automatically updates my banners on other people's websites. Take a look under Links for more details.

You'll notice the layout has changed a bit in order to commemorate one of the three greatest mathematicians in all history, Karl Friedrich Gauss. He was born on April 30, 1777, so it's the 231st anniversary of his existence. Further commemorations include a dedication piece which you can see here, a widget for Mac OS X Tiger, and two additional pieces of artwork in the gallery: [1] [2]. Additionally, I've decided to put up some sketches from my sketchbook, so now there's an entire section's worth of stuff that was scanned. If you've seen my other galleries, you'll know they're already there.

Yes, I realize I haven't been updating lately because I'm lazy, but other than that, it's probably also because I don't have much time. I did still manage to draw some stuff, and I'm still working on the Story of Sephiroth. I will be working on Chapter 2, but I haven't really gotten very far on it yet, and it might take me some time before I get anywhere with it.

I've finally managed to recover some of my lost files from the firewire drive that I've been having problems with. Turns out it's not a problem with my old computer's firewire port (possibly), but a problem with the port inside the drive itself. So they had to destroy the old case, find out what went wrong, and replace the casing with a new one. I'm happy that it worked out though, because now I can get back the template for the online version of Chapter 6 of the Story of Sephiroth, and create a 200x40 version of the banner that someone has asked me for. I'll put that up shortly.

Finally, my new computer has arrived, and I can draw stuff with more layers. Of course, I'm still busy, so please try not to swamp me with too many requests. Unfortunately, it turns out that my Firewire drive actually has the problem, and it might not be the cable. I'll try to fix it, but I can't guarantee anything.

Well, I've completely finished Chapter 6 of The Story of Sephiroth, and all I'm waiting for is my new computer to arrive (so I can get the flash file for the online version of the comic) and the postscript, which I may have up soon. In the meantime, you'll just be able to read the last few pages.

I don't entirely know what went wrong, but for whatever reason, either my Firewire port in my iBook has been fried by a bad cable, the cable itself doesn't work properly, or the port in my Firewire hardrive is fried. In other words, the hardrive in which I store all my artwork and .psd files has become inaccessible, and I don't know if I'll ever get those files back. If I could figure out what went wrong with my hardrive or its connections, I might be able to get them back, but this only means I may not be drawing for awhile, since I don't want to save my CGs directly onto my computer's hardrive because it's already low on space as it is. I've already tried using an alternate Firewire cable, and it doesn't work, so the probability of either port being fried increases. It seems I may need to try this on a new computer, and that may be the only solution I know of to this problem, but if you have any better ideas, feel free to e-mail me about it. Subsequently, I will have to hold off on all requests or projects I'm currently doing for the time being, and I will also have to close the option for new requests for the time being.

The gallery is completely finished, and I managed to finish the tutorials I intended to do. You can see them in the gallery now. I just need to work on some of the other pages, and loose ends. I'm almost done here.

The art gallery is probably the largest section of this website, so it will take me some time to finish. I think I'm done for now, but I need to make sure the links work. The Projects and Flash section are completed.

After some careful consideration, I've decided that trying to design this site in flash takes too much time, and I'm not experienced enough to do the things I wanted to do with it. So instead, I'm going to opt for a simpler design, similar in style to the galleries of most other CG artists. It's probably easier to navigate too, and I probably shouldn't have focused so much on the detailed aspects of it. Sorry if that's disappointing, but there's a compromise between the length of time it takes for me to design this site and when you'll actually see the artwork here. If I take too long designing this site, you're all going to get impatient, and if the design sucks, you'll have a hard time navigating through my artwork.

I drew the picture on the right side of the website, added the graphics, and did a basic layout of the site. Since I'm planning to use frames, it will be easier to manage the pages.
